Founder Cashain David grew up in a Grenadian household in Yorkshire, England where Rum was part of everyday life; christenings, weddings and funerals. He was fascinated by the power of rum to bring people together and how it was used when combined with herbal cures.

From his observations, he created Kromanti rum, which is now a family-owned business run by Cashain and his daughter Danielle. This fine rum company produces small batches to ensure they have the same satisfying taste every time; with each expression derived from one of the many secret family recipes handed down over generations.

Kromanti Plantain Rum 40% abv 70cl

The newest addition to the Kromanti family is the plantain-infused sipping rum. The plantain is naturally and laboriously infused via dehydration for maximum flavour. The plantain that is used is ripe but not too sweet, resulting in beautifully smooth and balanced golden rum. It has a blend of rums including a two-year-old and three year-old Venezuelan rum, along with a sugar cane juice rum from the Dominican Republic which is responsible for some grassier, lighter notes.
